This course is designed for internal auditors to obtain the skills required to perform their job function within an organization. Supervisors and line operators in the audited departments could also benefit from this training since they would know what to expect when they are being audited, and hence allow for a more transparent process. In this course, the following topics will be presented: understanding of audit purpose and function, overview of regulatory and 3rd party standard requirements, audit classifications, the auditing process from planning to completion, introduction to risk-based auditing, auditor skills and competencies, and common auditing tools available. Participants will be able to apply their knowledge of the material presented by engaging in group activities such as developing an audit plan and reviewing case studies to identify nonconformities. Top 10 common nonconformities identified by certification bodies will be discussed. Common objective evidence to prove compliance around those deviations will be discussed as well.
