Understanding Serological Pipettes
Description
Serological pipettes are used for measuring and transferring volumes of solution. Your technique must be exact to ensure accurate measurements and to avoid introducing contamination.
In this video, we'll demonstrate proper handling of pipettes, how to read the meniscus, and how to use both scales when measuring and transferring solution.

BioNetwork's Greg Smith demonstrates the typical pieces of glassware used for measuring volume in a life science laboratory.
Micropipettes are devices that are used to deliver small volumes of liquid; usually in the range of 0.5 to 1,000 microliters. Like other forms of laboratory instrumentation, the micropipette must be operated with precision so that your measurements can be reproduced consistently.
It's not hard; so
This short animation demonstrates the inner workings of a spectrophotometer.
Here's how a spectrophotometer works. A lamp provides the source of light. The beam of light strikes the diffraction grating, which works like a prism and separates the light into its component wavelengths. The grating is
