Natural Dyes and Eco-Print Design
1463 Sand Hill Road
Tech Commercialization Center
Candler, NC 28715

Description

Botanically based dyes can be made from native plants and mushrooms, common 'weeds', and easy to grow garden plants. In this workshop we will discuss the best plant material to use for making natural dyes. Though hands-on experimentation participants will learn several techniques of color extraction, making multiple dye baths and eco-prints. Participants will take home samples of plant-dyed cotton and wool as well as their own eco-printed silk scarf.
